Minister with Responsibility for Gender and Child Affairs.
 

Mrs. Ayanna Webster-Roy first entered Parliament as the elected representative for Tobago East, following the General Election of September 7, 2015 under the People's National Movement. On September 11, 2015 she was appointed Minister of State in the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) and reappointed in 2020 as the Minister in the OPM.

Mrs. Webster-Roy is a Graduate from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology with minors in Human Resources and Psychology. She also possesses a Masters in Institutional Innovation and Effectiveness from Arthur Lok Jack. Always having a passion for people and driven by a strong desire to serve her community, Mrs. Webster-Roy contributed significantly to community development initiatives. Mrs. Webster-Roy is no stranger to the government's inner workings having served for many years as the Coordinator of the Department of Community Development, in the Tobago House of Assembly. At present, Mrs. Webster-Roy is the Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, holding the portfolios for Gender and Child Affairs, the National AIDS Coordinating Committee, and Central Administrative Services Tobago.
